Together, we help each other help domestic pigeons & doves who too often are turned away or overlooked. Little by little, we are making a big difference! This year’s Global Giving little x little match opportunity begins earlier than usual – March 24th at 8:59 PM Pacific Time. The $125,000 in matching funds will go fast, so please save the date! The campaign ends March 28th.

GlobalGiving’s 2025 July Bonus Day is just around the corner.
July 16 Bonus Day is a 24-hour crowdfunding campaign designed to inspire high-dollar donors ($100 or more). Eligible donations between $100 and $1,000 (only one per donor) will receive a portion of GlobalGiving’s $125,000 Incentive Fund (up to $2,000). The more we raise, the more incentive funds we will receive. There is also $9,000 in bonus prizes for top-performing projects!
The campaign begins July 16, 2025, at 7:00 AM PT and ends July 17, 2025, at 7:00 AM PT.

Join us at this summer’s San Francisco Nihonmachi Street Fair, Saturday, August 2nd in SF’s Japantown (Post & Buchanan). The festival and outreach event will have a “Doggie World” area featuring local pet rescue agencies, pet care resources, and vendors.
The festival attracts thousands of people and is heavily advertised…on MUNI buses and MUNI kiosks throughout the City, on radio, and on digital ads at SFO International Airport. This adopt-a-thon and family-friendly street fair on Saturday, August 23rd, is Berkeley Humane’s largest adoption event of the year, and the Bay Area premier location for NBC’s nationwide Clear the Shelters event. This media-covered event brings together local rescues, pet vendors, adopters, and our Bay Area community, with the goal of finding homes for adoptable pets.

The Solano Stroll is an annual street fair held every September, a week after Labor Day, on the Solano Avenue shopping district of Albany and Berkeley, California stretching close to 2 miles long and bringing between 250,000 and 300,000 attendees in a single day, it has been called the oldest and largest street festival in the San Francisco Bay Area and the “world’s biggest block party”!
Solano Stroll through Berkeley & Albany
Over five hundred vendors, non-profit organizations, food booths and entertainers. Begins at 10 am with the opening of Solano Avenue businesses and Stroll booths and you can visit one of 50 entertainers, 50 food booths, 150 juried arts and crafters, state of the art mechanical rides, and 150 community non-profit and government organizations, not to mention the unique and popular professional services, restaurants, and shops already here on Solano Avenue. You will hear the best in local music, dance and other performances and absolutely stunning costumes from all over the globe! This is a family event featuring a special area set aside just for kids that offer giant slides, carnival games, clowns, jugglers, stilt walkers, face painters, magicians and more!

Join us at the Sonoma County VegFest, the North Bay’s wildly popular celebration of compassionate, healthy, and environmentally responsible living. They are returning with our full indoor/outdoor program this year featuring dozens of local and bay area vendors with delicious food, refreshing drinks, wellness and nutrition information, sustainable and eco products, lots of samples and so much more. We are bringing back our full speaker program, vegan cooking and food prep demonstrations and music all day.
